My man Glenn, who I also know as Sweety G, basically we go back a long way in Hip hop. He’s always been somebody that was creative and instrumental in a lot of the styles and in things you see in Hip Hop. We grew up rockin’ and doing parties rhyming and as time went on he expanded and he took new steps in new directions. He’s always been an innovator and always been a guy that I had a lot of love for. He was straight up real and would tell you how he feels… and he’s an artist! He expanded what he does and he’s controlling quite a few artist and sports figures careers.

Glenn Toby is more than a manager to me, he’s a father figure and a big brother.

Glenn Toby took me on as a manager. I was overzealous, and things didn’t happen as fast as I would like them to. I always wanted to do charity work, but I never knew how to get into it. He does all of these good deeds for the community. He’s a mentor, brother, and father to me. When I have problems, even if personal things come up, I call him up he embraces me with open arms and he lets me know he’s there for me. I always tell people that Glenn Toby is one in a bazillion. Foreal!

Cultural Vibe featuring Glenn Sweety G Toby is one of the most fierce Dance Music Artists of all time. His record “Ma Foom Bey” is on my Top 20 most played and requested records in The Paradise Garage.

Out of Queens you had The Twins, Sweety G, Smalls, couple of other people, Infinity Machine, the cats from Red Hook, Red Storm Forces and this is before Run and them! These were the first cats to make noise from Queens, that allowed people like Run and people from other boroughs to come on stage and that’s the TRUTH!

Chicago and New Jersey / New York have always had a musical connection and a mutual respect for each others music (Club Music and House Music). My best memories of Glenn Toby would be in the summer of 1986, not personally, but musically, through his song, “Ma Foom Bey”, which he recorded under the moniker Cultural Vibe. DJ Tony Humphries always seemed to be playing this classic at Club Zanzibar right before my group J.M. Silk would perform there, which was at least 4 times between 1986 and 1987. “Ma Foom Bey” is definitely one of my favorite New Jersey Club Classics…for me, it brings back the great memories of Club Zanzibar every time I play it! Although our paths have crossed many times musically, Glenn Toby and I actually met for the first time some 26 years later, in 2012 at the MIDEM conference in Cannes, France. There was definitely a spiritual connection that felt like running into a childhood buddy again. I have known Glenn musically for years, but now we are set to bring our life experiences together through limitless new collaborations. Neither Glenn, Myself, or the World can predict what they will be.

Glenn Toby is committed to increasing literacy rates in urban communities and is on the front line on advocacy for the homeless. Glenn has made great strides toward using his personal story, sports and entertainment as tools to inspire young people across this nation.

Everywhere I go I’m now bringing up The Book Bank Foundation. Anything Glenn Toby needs I’m there! More people should be doing foundations like this.

Sweety G Toby is an anomaly. And what I mean by that is that most people don’t even understand the history and the depth. This has been my friend since day one. I love this brother for real. And let me tell you why. The brother got a heart of gold and the brother’s skills are extraordinary.

Glenn Toby and T.E.A.M. understand artists and my marketability. Glenn Toby is powerful and can certainly make things happen.

Going into the Hood, going to Atlanta, going to Brooklyn, the grimiest hoods and taking a risk and going in these shelters. That’s why I have so much respect for Glenn. I enjoy doing it because I come from those areas too.

Glenn Toby is my hero and I’ve never said that of anyone. He is my mentor and friend. When he speaks, he gives me life. He’s a giver not a taker. He is an example of being grateful and humble. That’s why he has God’s favor.

I want to talk a little bit about my man Sweety G and to mention the contribution that this guy made to hip hop early. There was some things going on in Queens when he was MC’ing, and there was something he was doing there that shaped the future of hip hop. The most impressive thing he did was his selection of things he used to rap on, one of the first dudes that rapped on top of R&B beats. I could tell you who should pay homage to Sweety G; Heavy D and the Boys, anybody that ever made a record that ended up doing that rhyming melodically thing, owes a lot to Sweety G. I’m from Brooklyn, I’ll tell the truth!

Glenn Toby is a creative force! I immediately think of Club Zanzibar, and the first time I heard “Ma Foom Bey”. Glenn’s music and business ideas have always been progressive! Glenn is a modern day Renaissance man and pioneer! Glenn Toby is also a great person, who is looking to help others reach their full potential!

Sweety G? This dude was the first to rhyme fast, my man Sweety G! A lot of y’all know him… I know him as Sweety G! The Bronx had Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five but when it came to Queens we had Sweety G spearheading the movement! You helped them (LL Cool J, Run DMC) keep moving back in the day, he used to kill it back in the day! Sweety G is one of Queens premier hip hop rappers out there.

Dr. Glenn has never been about himself, he’s always been about the people. The quality that he is; is perfection.

I’m blessed to work with Glenn Toby and I wasn’t always blessed. No one was able to do this in my neighborhood. We’re giving out new clothes, not old clothes!

Sweety G and I grew up together in Queens. He was a rapper and we would battle on the mic. We had crossover sounds. We were very fortunate to get out of the hood by our two arms, two legs and head. Now that we did make it, we have to give back to people in need. He is all about blessing and helping those who need help and giving a helping hand to kids and the unfortunate. This is my blessing and I’d like to thank my man G for having me.

Even though he’s one of the country’s top sports agents, Glenn Toby’s life was not always so rosy. Toby who represents over 30 athletes used to be homeless but is still giving back to the unfortunate during the holiday season. Toby recruited the help of some of NY’s finest, like 50 and Lloyd Banks to help the cause.

Ma Foom Bey was one of the first songs I’ve known to be a house music anthem. It was one of the songs that defined House Music for me early in my career.

Sweety G right here! Way back in the day he was with Russell and they used to compete throwing parties!
